How long can I keep a piece?
We have Foster Subscription options available from three months to one year. Your artist may request an early return if they sell the work or stage an exhibition - but it will be replaced with a piece of your liking until the end of your Foster term.
Can I Foster more than one piece?
Of course! We encourage our Foster Homes to host as many artworks as they like. In fact, we have a Foster Curators program for hosts making multiple sales per term. Select different artists, different styles, get creative! Feel free to send us images of the artworks in your home for a chance to be featured on our social media platforms and newsletter!
Can I extend my term?
There are a few options for holding onto a piece a little longer. If the work is available for renewal you simply host the piece for a second term. Often artists have plans for their work once its back in studio - so it’s not always a sure thing.
Alternately, You can buy the piece outright! With your 20% Foster Host payout, it’s like getting a discount right off the bat. Your sale rating goes up and you get keep a beautiful artwork.
How do I ship artwork back?
When your term is nearing its end you will get an email with available dates. Select a time that works for you, and our art handling team will come remove the work, package it safely, and get it back to the studio.
